Hi my name is Alicia. I’m a cradle Catholic, a wife to a wonderful husband, and a mother to two beautiful daughters. I’m the founder of Mama Mary & Me and I design and sew all the veils in my home in Phoenix, AZ.

The story behind Mama Mary & Me began many years ago as I grew to love sewing at a young age. From learning as a little girl how to hand sew doll clothes with the guidance of my mom and grandma, to creating my own clothes as a teenager, to designing and making my wedding dress and my daughter’s baptismal gown, I always had a passion for sewing.

When my daughter was born, I was having a hard time finding baby sized veils small enough to fit her. So, I decided to make them myself! I started sewing baby headband veils for my daughter and matching veils for the two of us, and I was surprised when parishioners at church told me how much they loved our veils and asked where they could get them. It was after regular compliments on my daughter's veils that I began to seriously think about opening a handmade veil shop with veils for girls and women of all ages.

Launching Mama Mary & Me has been very exciting and so rewarding. I am able to pursue my lifelong passion for sewing by creating veils for Catholic women who love the tradition of veiling, as well as introducing the beautiful practice to a new generation of young girls.
